Well readers... after the excitement of the Galapagos and Tahiti the next fortnight sees the Beagle sailing quietly across the Pacific toward New Zealand. Land-fall there is on the 19th December, so we have the best part of three weeks to wait. There will be an entry for the 3rd December, but then -- apart from some of Fitzroy's thoughts on the Pacific Ocean and Fiji (which the Beagle did not visit). Stay with me and perhaps re-read some of the wonderful Diary and Journal postings of the past 4 years of the voyage.
