12th to 26th June 1834
Darwin made no entry in his Diary until the 27th June. Captain Fitzroy too made no entries until the 26th. The Beagle was in an extentive and dangerous gale which meant they had to 'beat' against the wind up the coast of Chile. No doubt, as a bad sailor, Darwin was laid low most of this time with sea-sickness.
